Sayonara 2004, I'll miss ya...
It's now 3 days into 2005 and I have the fear- yep, now I have to say that it is THIS YEAR I will leave uni (hopefully with a degree too!
) and THIS YEAR when I must find a job. Ho hum...
...Equally not looking forward to 2005 when 2004 seemed a pretty damn good year. Let's recap-
* Moved out of the house I shared with 2 girls who seemed to want to be in Sex and the City. Weeel, they were in a city (Stoke on Trent (
) and they did like a lot of sex (not with me or each other!) as well as talking about it. And they told me off whenever I laughed in my own room! I know, I am an evil person
*Found out a guy I liked (pre-Dave) also liked me at the time. And why did he not say anything at the time?
(I was too shy to say anything before you ask...) Anyways, it not matter now 'cos I have Dave. And aforementioned other guy fell out with two of my very good friends (perhaps 'cos he shagged one who is in a long-term relationship). Making social events rather hilarious 'cos of awkward silences between the two of 'em, ho hum.
*FINALLY saw the Pixies live. Wow! I think I have a minor crush on Mr Black Francis now
*Got to see the lovely lovely Manics for the 8th time, as well as a little more of Mr Wire than usual
*Made a whole stack o' fantastic new mates, both in real life and computerland. Thanx guys in real life and computerland!
* Staying with Mr Dave. That guy really is great!
*Getting more wankered than ever before, and doing as much floor guitar (yes, I do indeed lie on the floor occasionally to play air guitar
) as you can shake an imaginary axe at.
*The Ordinary Boys, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Goldie Lookin' Chain etc. Yay!
Anyways, can 2005 top this? Probably not, for a start Richey James will have been missing for 10 whole yrs come February 1st
. I'm not holding out for this yr being particularly good. Hope it brings y'all a bit more optimism, heh heh...
I'll leave you with a fun fact so's you don't all think I'm miserable as hell.
Did ya know that Fanta was invented by the Nazis?
