Wow.... simply wow!
I had the craziest (and best) weekend ever!!! The band Kiss played twice in the state of São Paulo last weekend for their 'End of the Road' farewell tour and I worked outside the stadium on Saturday and got to work + see their concert on Sunday!
My boss, who's actually a Gene Simmons cover who plays in Kiss Cover Brazil , had invited me to be part of his make up team for the weekend. I usually do the make up only on kids when they play with their Kiss For Kids band, but this was a lot bigger than that, so all help from good make up artists would be more than welcomed.
On Saturday we started at 12pm and went on until 8:30pm (almost show time). After I had a sandwich from Subway and used the bathroom at 11:30 I simply didn't stop until we were done. Those next pics are of me working there:
Those are the only ones I have of me working, and, interestingly, the one on the left was the last and the one on the right was the second make up of the day 😅 (another curious thing, the last and first make up of the day were both Spaceman!)
Ooooh and I even met @adistoker there (actually, she was just behind this girl from this pic haha) and I recognized her instantly lol She's so cuuuute and I was so thrilled to finally see her in person, even if just for a brief moment 🥰
On this day we just worked outside, but my mom entered with my brother, who's a really big fan - and his birthday is next week, so I guess it was a hell of a gift! (I had even posted a blog here telling about his last birthday in 2021) . Obvioulsy, he was more than excited and was a success with the fans lol everyone talked to him and took pictures too!
Actually, he even also got Gene and Paul's guitar picks!
Then, I arrived home after midnight and still had to take a shower, have dinner and pack to leave home at 7 am and head to the next city (around 4 hours from São Paulo). For this one some of us stayed again outside the stadium working, but I was lucky enough to be picked to work inside the Hard Rock Café VIP area, where we did the make up on all of their staff and some of the fans, too! It was also my first VIP experience in such place (and also my first time in a Hard Rock Café!). In the end, instead of staying alone during the concert (I had lost my team, too many people there haha) I watched the whole concert in the company of the staff, cause they were such nice people!
After their concert, we stayed there for a couple more hours there, as my boss was working there as Gene until 1am (pic below), but they had a nice rock n roll band playing cool hits, so we could enjoy the night even more!
I ended up arriving home only on Monday evening, exausted as hell, but it was all worth it! I'm sure it was a once in a lifetime chance and experience, and I also got to meet amazing people. It's a weekend I'll NEVER forget!
Hope yours was great weekend, too!!! Keep on rockin, guys 🖤
