I'm so bored. My boyfriend, Fitz, is in Mexico for 2 weeks with his mom. My parents went to San Francisco for a month. I'm stuck here and I have a bunch of reports that are due on Monday. This sucks.

I'll tell you one of the reasons I want to do it. My grandmother keeps bothering me about getting highlights in my hair. Constantly says something about it. Today she said it looked like I needed another haircut because my hair's clumping in the middle of my head, and it "looks like you've got a knot on your head." She's very peculiar about hair. She thinks I have good hair, but damn. I never talk to her about anything because anything she wants to talk about involves hair, clothes and shopping. Talking to her is more like an interrogation rather than a conversation. She's got a pocket full of barbs that she throws at people at any given opportunity.

If you've ever read that book Emotional Vampires, by Albert Bernstein, the histrionic profile in the book is her mirror image. (It's a good book; you should read it.)


If I shave my head, there will be no more discussion about it.



Never tried haggis, but you're right ... nothing more than a sausage. Never had an aspic food either. Looks pretty gross.

What did the orangish sauce in the "La Panza" taste like?

That looks awesome. I'm going to have to try that. I have not been there but I have been to their food truck downtown. The Bangkok burrito with Korean short ribs is one of the greatest things I have ever eaten. Highly recommend it.

I really am loving the new job. Should the need arise I will definitely keep your NPO in mind. And should the same ever be true of you, then please come work with me for the least evil gigantic financial conglomerate I have ever encountered. They are pretty awesome. You'd love it here.

Was it you or them? It may've been them. You're smarter than you think. I've managed to be great in the previous three math courses, but am weak at it. This just exposes the flaw and makes me feel like a diminutive little idiot, somewhat akin to a troll or sewer rat. Maybe both?

It's just this one little detail that burns my ass. I practiced these particular tables for awhile, you see. But when practicing them, they were a little easier to chunk, and I think he put a little extraneous information in the table to try and throw people off on the test ... but I'm not sure. It could just be that I was stupid and didn't know what the fuck I was doing.

The table on the test looked a little different than what I was used to - with these very small ledger lines and stuff like that ... a few margins with stuff I didn't recognize. And I totally just stared at it the whole time. The computations were simple too, but it was just the knowing of what goes where that fucked me over. Not good with things like tables, where the data is condensed like that. Never been a good test-taker, either.

Hmm, I'm not sure you'd care for the job I am doing now. Pretty aggressive on the sales and negotiation fronts. They are always looking for administrative assistants though. Banking industry and located in downtown Minneapolis. Let me know if you want more info. I am sure I can get you the name of someone to call to skip over some of the application process and proceed right to an interview.

Time for my monthly update.

I don't really have any news. Still loving my new job and things are still going well with Fitz. Even though we dated before it feels like we are in that exciting new relationship phase. It's pretty cool. I missed that feeling.

Other than that I am just excited to be going back to school soon. A little nervous too...
