I am so sick of heat. It's not even July yet and it is still hot and sticky. When it's not storming that is. One of my friend's house was hit by lightning a few days ago. Scary.

I'm not a fan of summer either. It's funny, today it was six degrees hotter in New York than it was here. Take that, city that is normally not nearly as hot as ustongue

So it looks like I'll be stuck in that hellhole I work at for a while longer. I didn't get the other job. Not sure why it took them so much longer to reject me than everyone else, but I am pretty bummed out about the whole thing.

So I am the only one who has not heard back about the job that the 4 of us applied for. The other 3 have all been told they didn't get it. They are supposed to make the final decision by the end of business on Monday. I may go off the deep end by then. whatever

I turn mine up to the highest temp (on mine it's 400) then add about 2-3 tbsp of oil (enough to coat the bottom well. the kernels shouldn't be swimming in it) Drop in 3 kernels and cover it with the lid. After they pop, I pour in about a half cup of kernels and cover it again. It won't take long for them to pop. No shaking the pot is needed. Mine is large enough that the popcorn only reaches about half way up so when the kernels stop popping to the top, I opening it up and season it with salt and whatever else I'm in the mood for. Then I dump them in a bowl and season them again. If you like butter you can toss a few tbsp into the pot while it still hot and melt it. I'm not a fan, I find the oil is enough for me. The whole process takes less then 5 mins and makes quite a lot.

dude, you have 3 and a half days to do what whatever you want. i say dive in and just do whatever pops into your head and really get into it. time to yourself is one of the best things ever!
