I woke up and the numbers laughed at me. All my clothes were covered in lint, and there was a strange smell coming from the gaping hole in my wall.
I walked outside.
On the sidewalk, I met a seventy year old man dressed in a suit of human skin. He told me there was something funny ahead, and I had to go see.
I kept walking.
There were people pushing shopping carts inside the store. I wanted to get some art supplies, but I wasn't sure if I should; last time, the broken glass pricked me.
I was horrified. As I passed the plants they had all died.
I sat down to get something to eat, and started drawing on my napkin, but by the time I finished sketching the napkin was covered in lint.
The lint began to wriggle. Only it wasn't lint; it was tiny crustaceans, brill shrimp or something like that. They all began making a drawn out "woooo" noise. This frightened me for some reason, so I ran away.
The sound only became louder.
As I ran home, I saw the old man again walking his dog. I wanted to tell him that the dog had no feet, but when I opened my mouth he just started laughing.
I finally reached my front door. When it slid completely closed the noise stopped.
The phone began ringing. I signed on.
