Oooooooooh! I have it!
I finally made a new photo related purchase. I just got my hands on a nifty fifty (Nikon AF 50mm F/1.8D)
I've never had this much fun using manual focus. Funny thing, I've been operating my D40 for almost two years now and have just noticed one little feature that had completely eluded me until my friend pointed it out to me today. It's a simple feature that everyone knows about but tends to forget when using auto-focus lenses. The little focus indicator that appears in the lower left corner of the display when looking in the viewfinder.
It has made ALL my pictures all that more clearer. While walking home from the bus stop tonight I decided to snap a few images.
This first shot is me finally using the indicator for the first time.
