punk rock. i havent got that much . i have never been into punk in a big way.
i did like "x" (the sydney band)
perhaps they came the closest to being my favourite 'punk' band. thing is they never dressed in the 'uk punk' fashion . they were sloppy, raucous, unpredictable. they were funny. they were gloriously unsuccessful.
tonite fbi played a x retrospective which i am listening to as i write this and become all nostalgic. steve lucas is being interviewed and he has some hilarious stories to tell.
they really did not give a fuck. is this not the definition of punk? sort of do it yourself where the lifestyle is more important than any success.
they were glorious failures. their longevity is testimony to their talent.
they inspire me.

Yeah. I went to see his grave. I'm not sure what I was thinking would happen, but after reflecting on it for bit, I'm not happy with the experience. I walked into the graveyard and expected his grave to stand out more. I don't know, nice, maybe mor flowers or green space. It didn't. I found it because I followed a few people in the general direction of where I assumed it was. Bruce and Brandon are side by side in the cemetary, right along the road. Their head stones are nice, but not impressive-and part of me doubts that Bruce would've liked one at all. There was never more than 1 or 2 people around while I was there, but that's enough (when they're snappin' photos) to realize the touristy BS that it really is. I'm happy I went there, but sad that it's become something it probably should not have.
