i have a strange obsession with mountains and snow for a boy from a dry flat continent. i was lying in bed this morning reading the travel pages in the saturday paper and dreaming of far off lands. the majority of images left me cold except for the pictures of mountains and snow. the one that i fixated on was a shot of a skier in kashmir with a story about a new lift that had been built (it took them about 15years). if i could go anywhere right then i would have gone to kashmir. actually given a choice now i would probably do the same. every now and again i 'give' myself $1M and test myself with how i would spend it. this helps me figure out what i really want. what i really want is to go heliskiing in canada for a week followed by a week surfing in the maldives.

i can be ready by morning.
