I can't help but think that different applications require different thicknesses of bread slices for best benefit and enjoyment, thus "the best thing since sliced bread" may actually NOT be a compliment.

I've always taken the line to mean that being able to buy your bread pre-sliced was an incredible modern convenience, and the "best thing since" was the next great luxury or landmark of civilization. But I think pre-sliced bread was actually the beginning of our path to laziness.

Thanks! I thought about doing a set when I was 19, I believe (I'll be 25 this year) and still slim and fit. I don't think it's in the cards for me now... I'm afraid too many people I know would find out. For example, I think my brother is a fan of this website.

Has anyone seen the film A Wink and a Smile: the Art of Burlesque? I'm wondering if it is worth ordering from Netflix?
comixbookgurl:
That would be a no for me, sorry frown

I am devoting my day to rediscovering my surf and rockabilly music collection. I think I'll start with Zombie Ghost Train and then move to a little classic Dick Dale.

Very nice!

New England rain is out of control. More than three times out normal amount for March. That is over 10" of rain in a month, most in the last few days. Even though it isn't fully working, I'm glad we put the drainage system in the back yard.

I'm hoping by this weekend to have the motorcycle back out and rolling.

I need to see...

Motorcycles are not as scary as the other fools on the road who insist that it is ok to text, etc. while they drive. mad

I took the day off from work today to finish tiling our shower. It is a pain in the ass, but think of all the money I'm saving by doing all of the renovations myself. i love dogs, but I think antidepressants for dogs is going a bit too far.
I'm sorry your dog is neurotic. but drugs seem drastic. surely there is another way.
greenapplemary:
It's cheesy. But a sexy kind of cheesy... haha! I like it. It's entertaining for sure, just know it won't be winning an Oscar anytime soon.

Antidepressants for dogs... hmm. If it won't hurt the dog physically, I don't see the con in giving it a go.

Why do simple projects (like repairing the grout on a shower) always snowball into massive projects. I am currently down to the bare plumbing and studs in our only shower. I'll get it fixed. I just hope it looks ok when I'm done.

John Mayer is an ass. He should stick to playing guitar.

I'll stand behind some of his blues playing, but again, the choices of he makes in terms of what to play sucks more often than not. He has always been more concerned with getting laid than having integrity. There has to be a limit somewhere.

He embodies so much of what I hate about living in Connecticut.

Very true biggrin

I put this up in one of the groups too, but I'm looking for a recommendation:

Valentine's day is coming and all the vibes are dead... I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a recommendation for my wife.

Her favorite has been discontinued so I can't just replace it and what's the fun in that anyway. She seems to like non-insert...
