I am embarking on a journey. True Blood, season One, episode One begins in 2 minutes. Is it really as good as people tell me?

About True Blood, I'll put it this way: It's been about three weeks and I have only two episodes left in season one. I would be well into season two if I didn't have to wait for netflix to send them to me.
