Another tough start to the school year. We are within two weeks of going back and two seniors from the school where I work were killed in a car accident last night. So sad. I hate beginning the year with grief counseling. It makes the academics and everything else seem so insignificant. But the academics are my job. It is hard to be good at your job when you feel that it is insignificant. Teaching is hard enough without that.

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of the seniors. I have faith in the fact that you are a kind and caring person who will be able to guide the kids through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hang in there.
