Yesterday was the big Rebuilding Together program. Pretty good turnout. There were 24 houses that had work done and a really big crew at each place. I was a little disappointed this year. The home-owner and two of her kids were there and they were so great, but because of the amount of stuff and the severity of the stuff that needed to get done, some of it didn't get finished as well as it could have, and some of it didn't get finished. It is really satisfying to be able to walk into a place in the morning and walk out in the afternoon with a ton of work done for these people. The crew leader that was at our house was a great guy though and he's going to go back this week and finish a few more things up even though the program is supposed to be a one day thing. Personally, I was a little frustrated because I got stuck being the one to run to home depot for everything. So I spent most of the day driving and shopping instead of actually working at the site. But I guess someone needed to do that too. I was still making a difference on the project and that's what matters.
List of gratitudes:
1) Being able to help others that don't have as much as I do, even though we don't have a lot.
2) A new Venice set.
3) I finally got to sleep in a little this morning.

Thanks for your two cents, I really appreciate it. I'm not making judgments but I have it on what I think is good authority that he is not only a pot head but a tweaker, which maybe has something to say for his behavior? Who knows, but I think the main thing is I need to face it that not everyone is going to like me in the work place....and that's a given, but I guess I just wish that even if he had a problem with me that he'd show me the respect I think I deserve.
