So I've been busy with water the last few days. It sort of makes me laugh a bit. With all of the rain that we had in New England over the last week, there are people with flooded basements and property damage, there have been, and still are, roads closed all over the place, talk of bridges washing out, etc. But none of that has really gotten to me personally. I spent part of my day yesterday replacing a toilet in our house. something I knew very little about before I started but I figured it out along the way. And even with the potential for something to go wrong there and flood the bathroom at the very least, I made it out with no leaks or drips or mishaps. But somewhere in the night, the valve that connects the refrigerator's ice maker to the water line started leaking and I didn't know it until this morning which of course meant water in the basement... ironic. I think I got it fixed and somewhat cleaned up, but it has been a watery couple of days.

In other news, I bought Guitar Hero II for a friends birthday last week. It's been under a week and we both have beat the game on easy and medium levels but it is getting really hard. But it is so much fun. the designers must have done their research. I imagine it went something like this: "Hmmmm, video games are addictive and people like them because the research shows that playing them releases dopamine into the system which makes people feel good and helps to raise moods and counteract depression. Hmmm, music also raises dopamine levels. Now how do we combine the two directly while tapping into everyone's desire to grow up and be a rockstar..... I think I'll call it Guitar Hero and become a kazillionaire!"
