Slowly but surely I am making my return. Thank you to those of you who have added me into your friend list. I'm not feeling quite as much like a pariah any longer.

I'm listening to the Girl Talk "Night Ripper" cd right now. There are some aspects that I love but ultimately it comes down to the same issue that I have had with Too Many DJs and other mash-up outfits. Musically it doesn't do it for me as much as it does conceptually. I love picking out the references, but the focus seems to be too much on the range of samples and not enough on the actual music of it. I love it as a novelty, but I'm not convinced of the full brilliance. Maybe I just need to keep listening...
