I just came back from the interview.
Let me set this picture for you. I'm pretty sure I have the other job I interviewed for on Tuesday. That was the one where they had me interview with three different people the same day and they had given me two psychological tests that same day. So when I went in for this interview, I was super confident, because I figured the other gig was/is sewn up.
Super confident isn't even strong enough--I had attitude.
First off, they kept me waiting because there was a mixup, and they thought I was there for a visual display job--so they had me waiting one hour! They knew I wasn't too happy about that. I didn't bitch, but I did make mention of the wait.
The floor manager who I'd be working for led me into his office, and after a few short minutes, I asked him dozens of realllllly intelligent questions. This guy's body language told me he wanted me for this job--and if I had any doubts at all, by the end of the interview he told me I was "obviously a sales professional, and that if I took the job it would be beneficial to both parties." He then caped it with the fact that he's looking forward to working with me. Now I just have to wait for the background security check to come through and then decide if I want this job, or the other one!
I think I'm leaning toward this one though.
Here I was worrying about getting ANY job, and now it looks as if I will have my choice between two very good jobs.

When it was time for my Columbia interview as a lowly undergraduate they gave me the standard "Why on earth can we gain from letting you come here?" It is a great question because nearly every answer makes the person responding sound kinda lame...so I said, "Well, that really isn't a relevant question, I think the more important question is what you could possibly do for me." It was cocky. I really didn't realize the odds against me getting in. It worked. :o) Measured confidence with an edge works sometimes. *giggle*
