I went on that group interview--first time I have ever been to a GROUP interview, and it was an eye-opening experience as to what is out there.
Five young girls, and I do mean girls--they were 18, were interviewing at the same time as I was being interviewed. They have you sit around a large table. The interview consists of about eight questions designed to see how articulate you as, and how fast you can think on your feet.
The final question asked was: If you were told you can pick one task, and no matter what task that was, you would not fail, no matter what, what would you choose to do for that task.
I swear, three of the six girls said: "Finish all of my homework."
The interviewer then turned to me and asked what I would do. I told him "Cure Cancer."
His response was: "That's pretty big."
So I told him, I was going to say world peace, but somehow I didn't think that would last. He told me that was a very astute observation. I retorted, some might think it was pessimistic as well, and I guess I could have added a coda and asked for "lasting" world peace. His response was, "Yeah, lasting world peace, homework..." and then gave a shrug like same difference, and he looked at me knowing I was the only person in the room who would get his sarcassim!
So, it looks as if I should hear back from them within 48 hours for a second interview with the manager of Fine Jewelry.
I'll keep you posted.

Even better than seeing me in the cute lingerie from Frederick's is the new pics I'll have up in a bit.
Trust me on this one.
