I hate to have a complaining rant, because, face it, who wants to read about complaints. But this is what's going on in my life.
First off, I think I made a mistake moving back to Brooklyn. I needed to move to look after my mom, but never reaized just how difficult that would be. She's 79 and her mind is going. She refuses to get tested. And she refuses to listen to any of my suggestions. She can't remember much of anything from one minute to the next, and now has trouble making logical links. She refuses to give up driving, and should not be behind the wheel. My stress level is off of the charts. I could go into great detail, but why bother.
Today I spent all morning and most of the afternoon, filling out paperwork and taking tests in order to participate in a job program. While there, I got some distressing news about the way the program works. Again, I'll skip the details, but suffice it to say, I better find a job fast before I have to comply with all of the rules of this program.
I have a splitting headache. I just took two Tylenol and a full can of cola to try and get rid of it. I haven't had a headache this bad in quite some time.
On a good note, my DSL should be hooked up tonight, if I can figure out how to hook everything up.
I'm just re-reading everything, and all that comes to mind is the joke: Dept. of Redundancy Dept.
As the man said: If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.
