Barbara Drake's book is as light as it is instructional, and is a joy to read. It's pricey, but well worth it. You should be able to pick it up cheaper at a used book store.

Hey thanks for the advice I actually think you are right. I need to let go and if she comes back, she comes back if not, well I had 7 years with her as my best friend and the joy of those memories far outweigh the more recent pain I have suffered. thanks again always helps to have someone listen and give their opinion.

...i don't think that. i'm kind of an awkward self concious thing around girls, i think. most girls, especially here since i am in a new place with no friends, are so clique-y and snobbish and...different from me. i get intimidated easily. then there are beautiful, smart, intelligent, unique girls that just render me completely useless, speechless. so either way my social skills are just perniciously lacking.
& by the way, yes we all definitely are...

Hell ya I'm a Forensic Scientist. I'm a Forensic DNA Analyst. That means I don't have to look at dead bodies (see, it's not all too icky), I just get the packaged crime scene evidence from the police and I process it for DNA. I guess that's the advantage of working for a private company that contracts with police departments rather than working for the actual police myself (otherwise, I'd know what all kinds of dead bodies smell like...ewwww). I have a Biology degree. What other fields are you considering? I might go back to school for a master's degree, but if I do, I'll probably switch to Environmental Sciences. Tell me more! Tell me more bio nerd (sweet, another one of us...I have a periodic table hanging in my room...shhhhh....).

i dont know why but for some reason i was entirely too excited that you liked my scrawlings... i think that any time i tell someone that i am "a writer" before they ever read my work there is some level of apprehension at ever having them read it for fear that they will think "writer hmm..more like sadly mistaken self important hack with no business wrapping her fingers around a pen".
alas, i finally got the boy an account of his own so he could understand that i am only being pervy sometimes & that there is really is so much else on the site. alas is a great word. backwards it says sala. that means living room in spanish. but you knew that...erm...being from belize and all. anyway, theres nothing like leaving a neatly bundled clusterfuck of 4am ramblings for one of the most indimidatingly hot & intelligent people i know...damn im smooth...
