Introducing!!!! My first ever SG Self Shot Set that I will be submitting in the next few weeks!! I've been anticipating this moment for months now!
About 3 months ago I decided to renovate my sunroom which had tires and trash from the previous owners abandoning the location. I spent countless of hours renovating, painting, decorating, and planning for this very set. Before I started to shoot I looked at the time and realized I was suddenly in a neck and neck race with the sun like Maudio Kart. I thought for sure I wasn't going to be able to pull this off until out of no where a brick hit me upside the head that had a cute little note: "YES YOU CAN, AND YOU WILL"
I stood up straight and got a gust of ideas! I wanted a scenario where I am coming in from the cold to my secret nudie hideout.
A little this, a little that, magic was undoubtedly manifested.
For me it's best to go into a set with an exact idea of the scene and pose plan ahead of time! That way when I'm self shooting, it's one shot after another without skipping a beat.
Mentally I was my own fashion photographer, crew, and model. Physically I was running around like a cartoon character!
I imagined someone else was photographing and somehow knew every shot I wanted. Putting myself in the photographers shoes was really great, it helped a ton and was a lot of fun. I feel self shooting this set made me a better photographer!
This was really difficult to pull off but editing will be a breeze so I'm super excited about that.
