I may disappear in some fashion for a while since my attempts to update my payment details have so far reaped little reward and today is my day for account renewal. Hopefully I'll scramble back to life shortly.
I'm currently listening to the unfinished mixes of my band's CD. Damn we rule. It's quite a change for me to record some music that I've had a hand in the creation of and am truly happy with the way it sounds. Hopefully it'll be even groovier after the mixing is finished as well. Admittedly my past record with, uh, recordings isn't that hot -... Read More
Good Lord, I actually have Events To Report. Are you all as stunned as I am?
The middle part of the week was fairly typical, with me being as work for the most part. My fingers, after initially recovering slightly due to using steroid cream on them, have started to get bad again. I am in no way prepared to have them disintegrate on me... Read More
Hey, cheers for the comment. Actually, the beer shop I usually go to is called Beer Ritz, just behind the Minster on Goodramgate. There's a sort of olde worlde style sweet shop just next door to it which sells great big orange drops as well. Which I'll probably also pick up a bag of tomorrow.
My birthday has actually been pretty enjoyable for once. I'm one of these people who pretty much dreads the day, due to a combination of getting older and a sense of impending doom. The doom thing isn't random, I've had some fairly unpleasant birthdays before. I spent my 18th in hospital having an abscess removed from my arse. That wasn't a whole lot of fun.... Read More
The last few days haven't been very eventful, but they have been quite enjoyable. I've been out at the local metal hole for the last couple of nights, and had fun at both. My usual round of boredom was staved off by talking to a load of people - and going somewhat hyper last night which is fairly unusual for me. I spent most of... Read More
Put a hell of a load of pictures up. They're mostly older ones - some of me, some of me with people and some randomness. Enjoy if you can. Give input if you want output (oo-er). And remember, tip your bartender.
the thread has frayed, the fabric is wrenched my hair and skin will repair a fear of fear, but fear makes us whole access recess, it hides like a trojan like a trojan

Weird dreams. Weird dreams. Very cinematic ones as well. One was sort of an alternate Matrix story kind of thing (which concluded with two Agent Smiths kicking each other about in the lane opposite my house) and the other mainly consisted of me beating the hell out of Elijah Wood. Let me tell you, waking up with the feeling of hitting a hobbit isn't the... Read More
the only time i get talking to girls in pubs/bars/clubs, i get them laughing, we get on great, all is rosy. thing is, i usually end up so shocked that a girl actually likes me, that i forget to get her phone number.
one time i met a girl after a gig. well, she pretty much threw herself at me, the mad thing. anyways, we went to a bar, had a few drinks, she's all over me, tells me i'm going home with her. wahey! so, before we head off to her place, i head to the toilet. upon exiting the lav, the bouncer decides to throw me out because i haven't got a drink in my hand. wah!!!
shit like that happens to me all the time, mate. we should form an elite group of losers.
I'm on such a rollercoaster ride at the moment. Ups and downs. To be expected given the chemical nature of my brain I suppose, but that knowledge never makes it any easier to follow my moods. Even I get confused at to what I'm feeling, let alone why. I went to see Therapy? in Preston last night, and they ruled. Completely. They owned. If you... Read More
Weird you mentioning Al Jourgensen - I've just sent off for a copy of Ministry's "Greatest Fits" album today. I've heard very little of their stuff ("Jesus Built My Hotrod", "Stigmata" and...erm, that's about it) but what I have heard I've liked a lot.
Thanks, I hope you're right. no problem adding me to your AIM, I'd like yours too. maybe one day when I'm on, you could talk to me, that would be nice.
My new Profile Pic rules, dammit. My weekend has been a good one - the gig in Lancaster (Eden Maine, Narcosis, Son Of The Morning) was really good, and then we wandered to The Dark Place which is the local alternative student night. Good fun was had by all, especially me and Shaun as we danced in a comical manner to some excellent songs and... Read More
hope you're having a good time at whatever this week is to bring you. as for the friend i was talking about a few journal entries ago: she posted in my journal the other day and i'm so happy that i have another chance to keep in touch with her again.
i hope. cause she means a lot to me. if it wasn't for her i don't how i would have ever gotten through the application process. she was always there to read my long rambling emails full of self doubt. and she was always right there to set me straight and kept my hopes up. she believed in me and i don't want to lose the real-life friendship we could have one day.
Yeah, they were good tonight as well though annoyingly they went on dead early so I turned up at 9pm and realised I'd missed half the set!
Still, I'll forgive those lads pretty much anything as long as they play "Stop It You're Killing Me". Which they did. Was a bit disappointed they didn't play anything from the "Shameless" album though - I would've loved to have heard "I Am The Money" or "Wicked Man" again. Still, great gig.
PS D'you know what's happened to Martin McCarrick? He wasn't with the band tonight - was he at the Preston gig last night? It was a bit weird seeing just three of 'em onstage again after all these years!
have a good holiday and the best of new years if i don't get to talk to you before then
