Happy New Year to All!! Hope everyone had a happy holiday, whatever you may celebrate. Santa was pretty good to me, I got The Simpsons 3rd season, clothes, and some other cool stuff. In the spirit of the holiday season, I am thinking about buying myself a nice gift, namely a Mac. If anyone has any feedback on the following machine please let me know. I am a Windows user looking for an ultra portable machine and like the Power Mac G4, and the fact that OS X is based on UNIX. Being a Windows user I am more familiar with the Intel chip and their specs. All right enough geek speak, any info on this machine would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, it's funny you bring up that point about technology, I just got to that section in the book. He shows a really interesting correlation between the average number of words in a sentence in the most popular books of the time and the time when at least 75% of the population owned a radio, telephone, television, and internet-capable computer. It seems like there's a significant decrease in the number of words (hence a shorter attention span) as the pace of our technology gets faster. The punchline is Tom Clancy, and he shows some pieces from his book Executive Orders where he's averaging like 5 words a sentence.
