Ok I figure for my first entry I should start with the conversation I just had on the phone...
I want someone to admit to me that they don't want to go see the Pixies because they think it will be an awesome show. I want them to admit to me that they want to see the Pixies so that they can say they saw the Pixies. I honestly believe that the a Pixies show could not possibly live up to the hype surrounding it. People are acting like you could pour a Pixies show onto barren soil in Africa and potatoes would grow. While I enjoy their music, I feel that they fall short of being the caliber of musicians that would put on a show that I would travel far and pay lots to see.
