2 days and 9 minutes until Valentine*s Day...

and yeah, i do resent when people call it a hallmark holiday because it is the most adorablt holiday, hallmark or otherwise. i lack an excuse to cover my dorm door with doilys and red paper garland and lipstick kisses and cupid silouettes on non-hallmark holiday days, so... yeah. someone at home mentioned a gothic/victorian-styled tea party...

sorry but i subsribe to the it's a hallmark holiday theory. if you love someone you they deserve candy, flowers and cards on more than just feb 14th!! Plus it's named after a saint for god's sake!!!

well at least you didn*t say "if you love someone ...you shouldn*t need candy, flowers and cards to show it" like another "Hallmark"-subscriber I once encountered did... cheap 9th grade boyfriend .... i mean, what?

autumnfade:
Hmmm so whats the next holiday???

it*s...so...freaking...cold.
it*s been said (not here, though!) before that people who graduate from the U i*m currently attending will, if nothing else, upon graduation have an unsurpassable proficiency at shoving people. (the U overextends it*s resources, big time)... now, shoving our classmates for the buses or sidewalk while we*re running late to class feels more like roller derby. cool! biggrin

i haven*t updated in a long time because i*m back at school, and before that because i was too busy doing things to occupy my time and aid my denial that i would ever be back at school. my school has no college-y ambiance. it looks like a pretty 80 year-old lady in hiphugging jeans and an Abercrombie screen-print baby t-shirt instead of the elegant...

there*s nothing to do at the Jersey shore(s) for 6 hrs.!
after they closed the Cape May zoo we went shore-hopping: Wildwood (where the house was), OC, Cape May... some other ones I was less familiar with... nothing to do except walk the black beaches. I want to go again during the day, when at least some boardwalk shops are open, because I*m addicted to...

I fond the beach in the winter to be way depressing...

so 8 hrs. after our train wreck of a midnight diner expedition we left to go to LBI. we sat on the frigid beach with the freezing cold waves crashing all around and the wind being mean and read a Playboy...because we felt like it?? eeek when it got too cold, we went sneaking around the practically abandoned (except for the snobby and suspiscious (of us)-looking...

Happy Belated New Year, everyone!
Wow. I*m still tired (cheers!) and I*ve just been informed that I now have a midnight diner party to "attend" (random, I know. But we*re on a much-needed winter break and are trying to be together as often as possible. Plus, we*re Jersey kids! I looove my friends.)
New Years Eve was interesting. I had more of a need to...
