Well things are pretty tough lately. Life is currently stuck in a limbo situation.
I feel like just around the corner my life is REALLY about to start, but I can't get to it because there are so many things between here and there.

For example, next week my family from england are visiting. My cousin Sarah, her husband, thier son and new born baby and also the mother in law. Since I do live with my parents, we were asked to move into the caravan for a few weeks so they can use the guest bedroom with the baby.

I've been kicked out of this bedroom many times due to visitors and it gets really annoying because this house has hardly any space. But, I agreed because it was just the best thing for the family + the baby.

My studio right now is an absolute mess, because I just dont have anywhere to put things and motivation for working is quite difficult.

So when is this magical life starting time going to happen? Well, it should happen when we move into our new house beginning of December.
I dont want to be overly optimistic that it will be a huge improvment to life, because I always tend to think you shouldnt believe material things can make you happy. But this feels different, all of my current problems this will basically solve, or at the very least help to improve.

The time is so close but yet so far away. So the next month is going to be a struggle.
Ontop of all this Hannah is looking for work, I am attempting to create a new portfolio and really take my career in a worthwhile direction and also we are planning a wedding.

One of the major obstacles of the wedding is finding a way to get Hannahs parents to Australia so they can see there daughter walk down the aisle. I just couldnt live with myself if we got married and they werent there, infact I'm sure it is not even an option. So that has been on our minds a lot lately too especially Hannahs.

So the only thing I can think of is: Chip In
I know I have had a few chip ins before, and friends have been very generous to us both. We HATE asking.
So we're not asking. I refuse to ask, I am just putting the link on my blog and a few other places, and if people feel they want to help, then they are totally free to do so.

I'm almost thinking of asking everyone to not bother with wedding presents or anything and maybe just pitch in towards this. Because all that matters is the act of the wedding itself and this is the #1 priority for that to happen. Presents and whatever else are a luxury for us, as we probably wont even have a honey moon for a long time.

Well as much as this is a kind of negative blog, its really not.. because its part of a journey to amazing things.
It's just a small chapter, and it will come and go like all the rest.

blush I hope you don't mind. I actually found it years ago while searching for a cute pirate girl. Then a friend found the whole picture and changed the banner to read "Happy Birthday" and sent it to me. I actually found out you were a member a while ago but I was such a nervous fangirl, I couldn't bring myself to come say anything.

I totally feel you on your state of limbo. We moved back to Oregon from Hawaii in August, thinking we'd get a place right away but without one of us able to secure any long term employment, we find ourselves living with my in-laws, probably through the end of the year. surreal I've been struggling with the feeling that once we move up to Portland into our own place things will really improve but also feeling like I need to leave the external out of my happiness equation. It's tricky.

Congrats on your impending nuptials. Have you thought about asking everyone to donate airline miles to get Hannah's parents their tickets? I'll bet a lot of folks that don't have money might have miles sitting around unused. Hawaiian airlines has reciprocal programs with a lot of other airlines and they fly to Sydney. smile
