So ! It's been a busy weekend. I worked a side job Saturday helping brick layers build a garage foundation. It is dirty work, but I liked learning a little about the process. Then Sat night I had some yummy cake, and got drunk and almost separated my shoulder trying to play limbo while handcuffed behind the back. (it's ok though... not my frisbee arm ) Today I slept most of the day then shopped for goodies for my new car ! biggrin And I signed up to play Lakes Edge Open tournament in Reidsville,NC next week. Yay ! there is camping on site for this two day event. I have to dig out my sleeping bag, I haven't been camping in forevers. tonight i am staying up late to get ready to start working 3rd shift monday. - TTFN

It's always good to learn tricks of the trade about different things. I mean, if the apocolyps comes we need to be ready. smile Plus, it helps with projects before then.

You remind me of a friend I once had. He was always working some job or other. He seemed to love work. I know he really didn't like it so much, but that's the way he was; he had that so-called strong, American work ethic. I, on the other hand, hate working.TheFox reminded me recently that I've never had a job that I enjoyed; that probably has a lot to do with why I hate work. If I could find something that I truly enjoy, then I'd probably turn into a workaholic.

Also, I agree with schiavona. It's good to learn skills for the apocalypse. wink There are a lot of skills I'd like to learn just because. I mean, I often think things like, "But what if something happens and I need to know how to drive a tractor trailer?!" biggrin
