i gave up on the idea of putting a computer together out of my computer graveyard. i bought new parts, should be here early next week.
frankenstein shall exist, he ain't fancy, but he gets done what i need done. his stats:
processor: sempron 2200
mobo: pc chips m863g
video: radeon 9250 128mb
ram: 1gb pc3200 ddr
hdisks: 20gb, 30gb, 60gb = 110gb
drives: 3.5 floppy, 52x cd-rom, cd-r/w&dvd-rom combo
monitor: currently an old 15", i'm looking at lcd's
periphs: wacom, canoscan, printer, webcam, headphones... i'm looking at digicams.

i'm working on a short story about a movie. it's difficult to explain, but it's a pretty blunt example of anomie, how it feels to be the detatched outsider... similar to The Stranger, but since today we don't have the same sort of family bonds that Camus was drawing on in his example I've found some other parallels to get the point across.

i've been spending most of my days this week on the xbox or watching movies. i'm venturing outside tomorrow to watch the new batman and high tension... both look like good flicks.
IV. apathetico
i've taken to hating most everything. my will to wake up and shave and brush my teeth and be nice to people is pretty much gone. hopefully i can find that by monday when classes kick back in.
