Hi there SG!!
How has everyone been doing? I hope you all have been going on some amazing adventures!
This month marks my 4th anniversary on SG. Hard to believe it's already been 4 years...It honestly feels like just yesterday when I submitted my first set.
SG has become such a large part in my life, but not just for shooting photos and submitting sets but for the friends I have made over the years, both SG/hopefuls and members. It's been my pleasure to be able to talk nerdy with you all and get to know so many people from different walks of life.
My first set was shot by CDO and was entitled "Scenic Loop" . Where we shot it, there is a 13 mile drive that's called Sceneic Loop because it drives through the mountains, valleys etc. I was so nervous but CDO made it awesome and my first set went up in June of 2013. The response was great too! It has been taken off the site, as much as I wanted it to stay I felt it was up for long enough and I wanted to make room for my new stuff :)
Here are some shots from the set.
My journey as a hopeful was exciting but my journey as an SG has been even more...I can't even describe it in words. I was a hopeful for 2 years...which is why I encourage girls to stick with it! I know girls get discouraged but I promise it will all work out in the end! I had 6 sets before I went pink and I had no intentions of giving up even if none of those were picked up. Because SG isn't about just shooting sets and going pink. It's about the community. I fell in love with the people here, which made my journey even that more rewarding. The day I went pink was so amazing and it's funny because Pulp also went pink the same day. The amount of love and support that was shown towards me made me melt.
Over the 4 years I've been part of this community, I've had experiences that are irreplaceable and have made friends that would never give up. Sg was there for me when my sister died and I needed the support of outsiders to help cope.
SG was there for my very first comic con and I would've never have ever been able to go otherwise.
SG was there for my very first burlesque experience.
SG was even there when I got married.
SG has been a huge part of my life for the past 4 years and I wouldn't give up any of it for the world.
I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon and I know I don't blog as much as I used to but that's just due to me being super busy in real life. I've been keeping up on my goals of selling my artwork and focusing on my Twitch. I also do the SG Twitch every tuesday and we have blast!
You know what the best part of being in SG is? The fact that I get to meet "fans" that are also part of the community. It's my favorite thing to do. Go to events and meet all of you. I put fans in quotations because I really don't like that word...we are all people and are all equal, I don't put myself any higher than any of you. I just happen to have nude photos on here haha. I absolutely love meeting people in person at events and actually putting a face to the names we see online. And I've had so many awesome experiences with meeting all of you, especially when you get me on my Star Wars rants lol.
I hope my journey continues strong and that I can continue giving back to the community in many ways. I love you all, I love SG and I hope you all have a wonderful day/year. I do have a few sets coming this year including a Freddy Krueger cosplay set. :)
