Hey there...
You know, I'm not a celeb person. I don't watch their reality tv, I don't follow who's dating who or marrying who or who is having a baby. I think celebs are overpaid and over glorified for the most part, as most of them are just entertainers and are regular human beings like the rest of us. With that said, I have to say that the loss of Robin Williams actually saddens me. He was one celeb that I truly respected. He was down to earth, genuinely funny, a humanitarian and cared more about others than himself. I grew up on his movies....Hook, Jumanji, Flubber, What dreams may come, Mrs Doubtfire, Aladdin....all classics in my mind. Awakenings is a film that to this day makes me cry, and I rarely cry at movies. He could portray any role and be any character you needed him to be. Hell, even his stand up was amazing...
He made such an impact on Hollywood with his acting and just being who he was. He also made an impact on many people who watched his films. For someone who lived to make others happy and laugh it deeply saddens me that he went the way he did. As someone who has suffered from depression and also has attempted suicide, I understand the struggle for someone in that situation. His last moments must of been horrid...I can't imagine what was running through his mind.
He was also an avid gamer, which of course means a lot to me....he even named his daughter Zelda after the character.
I did not know him personally but I can say from his interviews and movies, he is someone that has brought life to this drab world. He will be missed.
Please take a moment to tell your loved ones that you love them, and miss them if they aren't near. Take the time to give hugs to those you care about because you never know when you'll see them last.....that could be the last thing you say to them.
The genie is now free <3
