This week @missy and @rambo asked us if we could have any super power, what would it be and why?
-Bruce Wayne's parents get killed and he goes to Tibet or whatever, and Superman is an alien, and Spiderman had that radioactive spider. Me? I kissed a janitor in the school bathroom.
This is actually a hard one for me because there are so many awesome powers that I would love to have...such as the power to fly. Who wouldn't want that?! However as awesome as that is, it wouldn't be the one I would choose if I could only have one. There are actually two that I wish I could have, both equally and I really couldn't choose between them.
-It's hard to talk about the importance of an imaginary hero. But heroes ARE important: Heroes tell us something about ourselves.
History tells us who we used to be, documentaries tell us who we are now; but heroes tell us who we WANT to be
The first would be the ability to morph into anything, human or animal, such as mystique. I think she is a very strong female character and probably one of my favorites but I wouldn't want it just because of that....no way! That ability really makes you unstoppable. You could get into any place with ease and escape with never getting caught. You could impersonate anyone or even a house hold pet to infiltrate your enemies! The possibilities are endless!
-I'm telling you, the gorgeous of the world can actually look pretty intimidating when they scowl. Imagine a snow-white swan with a scary tattoo holding a chain saw. There's just no way to really prepare for that.
The second ability would be Telekinesis/Telepathy...Welcome to Telepathics Anonymous. Don’t bother introducing yourself....to be able to manipulate others minds would be amazing! I mean, some people can already do it to an extent but I mean to really see what others are thinking, feel what they are feeling....there would be nothing like it. Also to be able to move things with your mind....like using the force! It would be amazing! I would love to be able to force choke someone to get what I want. I know that sounds evil, but I am a Sith after all ;)
-The average human, on the other hand, thinks about all sorts of things around the clock, on all sorts of levels, with interruptions from dozens of biological calendars and timepieces. There's thoughts about to be said, and private thoughts, and real thoughts, and thoughts about thoughts, and a whole gamut of subconscious thoughts. To a telepath the human head is a din. It is a railway terminus with all the Tannoys talking at once. It is a complete FM waveband- and some of those stations aren't reputable, they're outlawed pirates on forbidden seas who play late-night records with limbic lyrics.
I WOULD use my powers for evil sadly. Being nice is just too easy....being evil and getting away with it is a lot harder. I like the challenge! Though, I'd be more a vigilante I should say. I would never hurt the innocent, only people who deserve it....kind of like a Dexter type. I'd be trying to help the innocent by getting rid of the nasty people who do bad things. But don't get in my way!!
-It's not about who's got powers. It's about who's not afraid. And who's going to do what has to be done.
