I hate anime and manga.
There, I said it.
although, it's not really a burning deep down hate, but more of a simmering irritation dislike. I don't really know who in the chain is to blame, if it's the translators not really getting the words right, if it's the clone-style artwork in most of them, or some sort of Pavlovian reaction thanks to some of the oddballery of the fans. Call me old fashioned, but I'd prefer even the most whacked out Morrison story-arc to trying to piece together what's going on in some post-Akira piece of dreck. I don't like that if I go into the art section of most bookstores they have like 30 'how to draw manga' titles, but they have maybe one on traditional figure drawing, and god help you if you try and find some of the classic Will Eisner books in anything but the most well stocked of comic shops.

/although to be 100% fair there are some few shining pearls that I really enjoy, Cowboy Bebop being high among them/
PS: if anyone knows of a good way to break in a pair of Cowboy boots I'd appreciate to hear of it.
