Something that's always bugged me to some degree, is the anti-rollerblade bias, espescially in convenience stores and fast food places - places that you're in for such a short period of time that taking off and putting your blades back on takes longer than your business in the store. Now, yes, I understand that most places say it's a saftey thing or some equally thin argument ( I know me on my blades is less likely hurt myself then other people just walking) and some places try to say that the blades mark up the floor- this is the stupidest argument ever, because if rollerblades left black marks on a smooth linoleum or tiled floor, how long would they last on rough, hot pavement? eighty percent of the time, it's a rule that's enforced more to be a pain in the ass than it is out of any concern for 'safety'.
