I just realized something, or re-remembered something about this site. Ever since the first day i joined in April 2003, this place became an obsession, an escape, a place to immerse myself when the life around me began to change in a way that felt unfamiliar. Through the years i alternated between being very active on here to seeing my account lapse for months at a time.
But tonight, God, i am seriously loving this place. It is for a different reason than when i joined; then it was about meeting like-minded folks, a community of girls that were in perpetual sexual identity crisis' like myself. Now, just purely for the amazingly beautiful photosets (the quality is superb almost 100% of the time now!)
It is all about escape these days.
More than ANYTHING i enjoy keeping my favorites at a steady 250, the max....It is difficult to delete the older favorites but then again....
However, in addition to remembering why i love SG, I have also been thinking about going slightly more annoymous. I.E. no more photos of myself, less personal info, perhaps an editing of old journal entries, etc.
Not that im worried about some fool i went to high school finding me on here, shit, i could fucking care less, but more and more we are talking about the net and people's 'online personas' at work and i just dont want this to pop up in the future when i want to get a better job.

It wouldn't be much a 'journal' if you edited them out now, would it. I make it a point to never edit my old journals except to be more clear on what I originally meant. It's meant to be a legacy of your life since you joined SG here. If anyone ever asks anything about anything I post I'm always more than welcome to discuss it. I'm always an open book. It's simple. Make all deisions with a clear consience and you'll never have any regrets and if someone says you did something less than optimal, well, either there was no mistake and they don't understand or are unable to accept that you're a human being who's inherantly imperfect. Either way, fuck em.
