Did you get the chinese soap operas on the tvs during the drive, too? Those things are awesome...I have no idea what they're saying, but you can see how they do all of these symbolic things like shots of spiders, fog on a open medow on a sunny day, etc. weird shit.

ps - if you are taking the bus from right next to/under the manhattan bridge, there's an AWESOME vietnamese sandwich shop right next to the line of busses - it's awesome. oddly, vietnamese are famous for their sandwiches, adapted from the french colonial days.

i took this whole week off of work, i emailed you about this! it was a good thing I asked off as well b/c the very next day i got sick an it's just gotten worse, so many days later. i'm grody with illness and my head is a balloon. it's one of those things where you can't move, you just have to stay inside an you're cranky too!

I'm entering a sail boat race.

Well, the plan was that we would leave tonight after work, head across the cascades to a cabin over in Winthrop for the weekend and do some fossil hunting at stone rose in Republic. By about noon today I was sick. I think that I am well enough to go now, but just as of about 20 minutes ago, one of our cats has become ill with extremely runny shit with blood in it, so this weekend may turn out to be a bust depending upon what's wrong with him.

O.K., the plan now looks to be stay home and give meds to our cat who has what appears to be a bacterial infection. As long as that's all it is and nothing more serious I'm happy. Maybe I can find a paddle for the kayak I just bought and go out on the bay this weekend.

P.S. I hope paris is doing well.
