i'm almost done my summer semester, FINALLY. good lord. two exams and one term paper left. after that, i'm getting my eyes lasered, so i'll be unable to read for up to two weeks. i hope it's fucking worth it - i was really looking forward to being able to do some leisure reading in between semesters, but i won't be able to now. and i just picked up ursula le guin's "the left hand of darkness". i also have a couple of william gibson paperbacks i haven't tackled yet.

i'm actually starting a book club with some friends. we're going to pay monthly dues and share the cost of buying new novels so we can read them all without bankrupting ourselves. you know, the new sort of avant-garde stuff that won't be in libraries for quite some time, if ever.
my birthday is this coming thursday. i'll be 25. i've just asked all my friends to bring me vegan food. i love to eat. hence the cooking site that i spend more time on than i do my schoolwork.
p.s. i'm majoring in communication and minoring in political science, with an overall focus on international media policy. in case you were wondering.
believe it or not, self-promotion isn't really my steeze. at least not the overt kind. life goes on, though.

I'm also just starting "The left hand of darkness", this week before school starts and job-searching REALLY needs to start on my part I've decided to have as a reading week so hopefully I'll finish that one before all the course literature puts a lid on my reading enthusiasm for another term.
I am so glad they bought the set. All the work from both you and Lavonne is always top notch, to work with either of you some day is a big dream of mine.
