i've been digging the 90s nostalgia lately. there are all these bands i used to really love that i'm getting into again and it feels pretty good. specifically i want the buffy the vampire slayer soundtrack from seasons one and two featuring songs performed at the bronze and also the classic transylvanian concubine by rasputina that was the soundtrack to drusilla's party.

i used to be such a vampire nerd. i am still a vampire nerd but in a more grown-up way.
i met undine_white last night, she came over and had pizza with s_eldorado and i and watched buffy and got drunk. food + booze + buffy is a recipe for fun. i am doing it with cleverthings tomorrow night too. want to have fun with me? dvds, vegan food and booze. no joke. the booze isn't even necessary.
(ps: the pizza i made had roasted garlic, roast kumara [yam/sweet potato], pine nuts, marinated tofu, artichoke hearts, homemade pesto and purple onions on it. it was winningly amazing.)
we named this praying mantis 'natalie french'.
s_eldorado and i have been watching battlestar galactica season one lately. holy man, i am so into it. i knew i would be and the only reason i didn't watch it before now was that i didn't have it and didn't have anyone to watch it with. so, definitely hooked now.
i have been hanging out a lot lately in short-shorts and a button up white shirt. i am pretty into it. i figure i should get some more of both and make it my uniform. speaking of which, i wish i was a superhero and/or final fantasy character so that i could get away with wearing the same over-the-top outfit every day. i would look so cool all the time. kind of like al bhed meets tank girl.

i keep having these epiphanies as to what i want to do with my life. man, it feels super good. traveling was so what i needed.
i am trying to find accommodation in byron bay for a couple nights this weekend and it's fracking impossible, everyone has nothing available or maybe one of the two nights we need. might end up switching places. how much does that suck? a lot, is what. i guess that's what i get for waiting so long, though.
so it goes.
speaking of vonnegut, i am considering getting this tattooed on my body: "everything was beautiful and nothing hurt." i'm not sure if the past-tense is apt, though, and if i were to change the phrasing it wouldn't be a direct reference. how do you guys feel about it? how do you feel about reference tattoos in general?
