Somedays it feels like too much to keep going. After a very stressful week of work, interviews, and being there for my parents as the primary caretaker, in the span of three days heard from extended family that my cousin's son in chemo went from feeling optimistic and improving to cancer spreading rampant and passing this afternoon.
He was 22 and had to fill out a DNR and telling his parents and brother he was ready... it just shreds the mind and the heart.
I will be out from posting for a while. Given the status of my parents, I can't tell them (one has dementia and the other is very disconnected from people due to upbringing and possible Aspergers) I have to try and process. Thank you to a community here and IRL that does good things and cares.
