Being a primary caregiver has been rough lately and I have not kept on top of my own wellbeing. I am trying to be better for myself again while maintaining the needs for my parents.
While I have been going to therapy for quite a while, I haven't been great to take care of my social needs. I really just take Saturday for myself and slip away for a movie here and some tabletop gaming there. Ideally, I will get to do some more over at my local game store and see more people.
Physically, I have really let myself down. During the pandemic, we found my mom suffers from dementia and my father has always been on the spectrum. The gyms were closed and I had to stay close in case something was needed. I had lost a lot of weight but put it back on. Now, I am going very low carb and intermittent fasting. My pain has dropped and losing weight in a good way again.
Baby steps... but moving forward.
