1) Why are you still here? - I sometimes wonder that myself... honestly, I used to do a lot of theater design until I burned out. I still love seeing creative people do creative things so I am kind of a lurker to see what other people are doing. While I might not be creating 'art' now... I appreciate what others do.
2) Nothing artistic? - Maybe not accurate. I try to write still. I have a few stories that I want to try and keep working on. I also - pre-pandemic - may some RPGs with friends. D&D and a Star Trek game that I am setting up. There is a fair amount of creativity in these games.
3) So you are a nerd... - Well... yeah. It is probably obvious... I love reading sci-fi and fantasy, movies, boaed games, video games, etc... I think it is the engagement with others that really means a lot to me. I have great friends because of this.
4) Politics? - I have always been more liberal leaning, but now I am really moving left because of the last election cycle, current administration, and the way that COVID-19 has been handled. In my opinion - and keep in mind that I am not asking for debate - the system really favors the rich. However, with all of these corporate bodies begging for assistance, the power is in the people and it is time to act upon this knowledge. Time for all publicly traded businesses be forced to make financial backstops to protect themselves for these situations like the banks have since 2008. Otherwise, they need bootstraps to pick themselves up like everyone else says the people need to do.
Yeah... I am a filthy liberal... haha
5) Anything else? - I really don't have much time for myself. I work two jobs and am the primary caretaker for my parents. My sister works for the hospital network and can't risk exposure for COVID-19 and my parents. I am a severe introvert... normally being alone is preferable for me unless I know the person. Trust issues really slows down my social life... but I do miss being in a relationship... oh well.
I appreciate the interactions here... I have really enjoyed talking with some of the models and other fans.... getting to know a bit about people here really enhances being a member. Biggest recommendation is have for new people is to get to know others... don't just drop requests to follow.
