I was notified that my full time job is going to go into a limited "cycling" of hours... basically working every other day during the week for 9 hours day day. Trying to limit exposure chances with half staff and more spread out of people in the physical area.
Still chances that I may get a laptop to work from home, might be called in if someone is sick or has to be out of the office, but this at least feels like something is happening now. I will still be part time tutoring for the time being as well, but more on line than in person.
Going to be paid for a full 40 hours still and chance for overtime on Saturday if work piles up at double time... but this is still better for myself and family.
I am the primary care taker of my parents. Both are in their 70s and have health problems... more so my dad. With asthma, diabetes, and heart disease, this would kill him if he gets COVID-19. Ideally, less risk for myself too.
So, with no where to go and nothing to do, I will be cleaning, reading, and playing video games and board games when I can.
Thank you to all of the likes and comments on my meme posts... they have allowed me to let out my fears in a funny way and hopefully have helped others as well. It has given me a chance to learn more about people here that I haven't seen before and that is a pretty cool thing to be able to do. I would love to see this continue and grow... it's been fun seeing how creative and different you are all and enjoying it greatly.
