hey that's cool, i didn't realize you were a berkeley native. i'm not really sure what to expect from berkeley high. i went to a large (2000 students), public high school, so it shouldn't be too different. any words of wisdom?

yeah my time in Chicago ran away from me too quickly... I loved it but I didn't get to spend anywhere near enough time with you and the rest of the crew.

opheliar's the same way, she may be 36 by the time she gets hers. i'm no really sure what it is. it think it's a more rational approach to driving. if i hadn't had a wrestling coach in the passenger seat yelling at me the whole time, i think i would have found the whole thing _more_ terrifying. there's something about being 16 and learning it that's just easier. i dunno.

It's why I don't ride motorcycles. I love driving a car, I've been to racing school and done a tad bit of racing, but riding a motorcycle bothers me. I just don't trust the other drivers on the road out there -- they're shit and they're likely to run over me or something if I'm on a bike.

That said, I'm seriously considering going to motorcycle classes and getting a bike after I move to L.A. in a couple weeks. Has a lot to do with gas prices and the crazy amount of traffic out there. Plus, it seems more normal there, like people look out for bikes more there than they do most other places

But I get it.

don't feel any different yet. i gotta say the joy of physical pain far surpasses the joy of emotional pain. all the more reason to keep it up i guess.

there's a forest preserve about 2 blocks west of my work down north ave that i went to yesterday as well. it was fucking beautiful. i have been there before just to sit at the park and eat, but yesterday i went hiking through the woods for about a half hour. it was unexpectedly big and gorgeous back in the woods. and the des plaines river runs through there as well. i might make that an everyday thing.

I'd totally buy a living space environment pod thingy. I'm flat hunting at the moment and it's a bitch. Unfortunately I'm looking for somewhere a bit closer to home, and my budget falls severely short of your asking price
