I'm still here. I promise.
It's been a nuts-o week. I've been giving exams at work, and grading them takes, well, quite a long time. One class has 42 students, another has 44. And I give essay questions as one component of the exam. That means that I get to read and grade said essays, which can take a considerable amount of time. Particularly it
a: They write a considerable amount of stuff
b. They answer very poorly and I have to fill the page with red ink
c. They're handwriting is horrible.
Of course, the nightmare scenario is when I pick up an exam to grade and all three of the aformentioned apply. I'd rather yank one of my own molars out.
I also get progressively more irritated the more bad tests I grade. I know I probably have very little to do with it, but, dangit, they should be absorbing the information I have to offer better!
I also have to grade papers this weekend. Not as many, but they take even longer to grade.

On a happier note, next weekend I get to see my second favorite comedian perform. Carlos Mencia.
If you haven't seen his show on Comedy Central, do so. I've been in the know with him for a while, and am happy he's finally getting the credit and attention he deserves.
