I finally got the opportunity to meet, face to face, a few of the SGNC crowd.
On somewhat of a spontaneous whim, I drove up the highway a bit to kitschy's place for movie night. I also was finally able to put faces with nicknames with kriss, not_tom, RaleighBoy, Perla, and Ardilla.
It's about a 90 mile drive from my place up there, which included a number of odd turns through tiny towns and long stretches of country, but I finally managed to pull up about 30 minutes later than I thought I would. Ah well. I'd probably still be driving around looking for the house (for reasons that will remain unsaid) if I hadn't seen kriss lingering around outside.
I only had time for one film, but it was great to finally meet some folks in the neighborhood. Everyone is very friendly--it looks like a fun group to cut loose with, which I definitely am looking forward to. I see a sushi fest in our near future.
Next time, remind me to bring my camera.

Sounds like you had a good time. The regional meets seem fun I've been to a mini one, but a proper one will come soon...
Glad to hear you had a good time. I wish I could get in on that sushi fest, its my all time favorite.
