I bit the bullet.

I coughed up the $149.00 for my cable company's Major League Baseball package. And boy, is my diaphragm sore! (rimshot)

This way, I can pretty much watch whichever game I want virtually every day of the regular season. Mariners? Yep. Nationals? Of course. Hell, I can even watch a passionate match between Tampa Bay and Kansas City if I want (insert sarcasm here).

I figure it's worth it, because I you could count the number of hours of network television that I watch per week on the little bit of finger found in that bowl of chili at Wendy's the other day.

Baseball is good 'white noise,' meaning that it is something you can listen too and semi-keep up with while doing something else, like laundry, dishes, or grading papers.

So a fine investment, IMHO.
