I'm a busy, busy boy, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. Yay for me!

Final exams start this week. I am giving two on Tuesday and one on Friday. Hopefully they all will be graded, and I will have my final exam grades turned into the registrar by Friday afternoon. Fall commencement is Saturday, so I'll go to graduation. Then, assuming all goes well, we're off to Raleigh for a much needed SGNC rendezvous. I hope everyone remembers what I look like, because it's been a while since I frolicked

I've also been doing a lot of heavy editing on lots and lots of comic manuscripts that come my way. I get tired of reading them after a while. I've decided I have a new pet peeve--the overuse of the ellipsis, which is those three dots in a row (...) that denote a pause or a trailing off of words. In most cases, a comma, semicolon, or double dash will work just fine. Too many ellipses makes for choppy sloppy reading. But I did get through five manuscripts today and four yesterday, so the pile is getting progressively smaller.

Odds and ends for y'uns:

Vanderbilt Basketball--fucking frightening this year so far. 2-3 with a home loss to Furman. I warned this would be a long season, and I think that it's coming to pass.

Birmingham City soccer--in first in the Championship so far, and playing very well. Here's hoping for an immediate promotion back to the Premiereship.

Christmas shopping--oh, how I hate it. I went to Fayetteville this weekend to shop. Big mistake. Semi-retarded people everywhere, walking and stopping in front of me, buying things with no tags--oh, I don't want to go on. It gives me a headache.

Four weeks off after Friday. I'm stoked.
