I'm having a considerable amount of difficulty adjusting back to Eastern Standard Time. The six hour difference between Hawaii and North Carolina is really taking it's toll on me. I haven't gone to bed earlier than 3:00 or 3:30 am this week, and I've been waking up around 10-ish in the morning. The first day back I slept until 1:30pm, which has to be some kind of record. Fortunately for me I am on summer vacation--it I had to get up early for a real job, I would be in big trouble.
Even worse (and thus one of the other reasons I've been absent from here lately) is that I've been buried in World Cup fever. I've watched just about every game to this point, with the exception of the first halves of the morning games (see above). So I've been a lazy couch potato who has barely put shoes on during the last week.
To make matters worse, I'm off to Germany on Tuesday, which is six hours AHEAD of NC. So my internal clock is going to be all fucked up while I'm there. Hopefully beer, sausage, and football will keep my mind off of those sorts of things. My life should return to normalcy thereafter, I hope. WHich is good, because I've got a lot of goddamn work to do.
My comic is progressing pretty well. I'm diligenty working on the script to issue #3, and Stan has done eight pages of the first issue so far. You can see them at http://www.subculturecomic.com/previews.htm if you are so inclined. We're right on track for an October/November release for Issue #1.
And so far I hate this new SG layout. I can't find anything. Could someone tell me where the bookmarks link is? Surely it exists (as it used to), but I can't f-ing find it at this point.
