I wish every month would be like this February has been for me thus far. Maybe fate is making up for lost time and piling up the good stuff all at once. Who knows, but I will take it where I can get it.
Some of these things are big, some small, but I wanted to share with you all of the creamy nugget:
1. We've found out we're going to the World Cup this summer, and I've been having a blast planning the trip to this point.
2. I've been named the new Managing Editor at
Ape Entertainment, meaning that my foot is now in the door of the comics industry. Not that I want to quit my job and do comics for a living (I don't), but it's bound to be fun.
3. Speaking of comics, RaleighBoy and I got together and starting plotting and doodling for a comic that we might make an attempt to create. It was a positive meeting, and we're both excited about trying our hand at things. I'll post some sketches soon, if you all want to have a look-see
4. I just found out yesterday that I've received a fellowship for a paid three-week trip this Summer to Hawaii to learn about Japan and incorporate Japanese studies into my classes. Hopefully a trip to Japan isn't far off as well. I can think of worse places to spend three weeks. On someone else's dime.
5. We're going to see SouthernBelle and SteveNeurotic this weekend. There's bound to be smiles aplenty there.

And the month is only half over. I'm not trying to be a braggart (honest). I just wanted to share my good fortune with my friends. The world is too full of bad news, so why not share good news when it happens as well.

Yeah, can you come to my Saturday show? It'll be fun! And it's one of my last NC shows, from what I can tell.
Well, I'm not 12 years old. My lover isn't a boy, he's a man. Also, I am bisexual and a sexual activist, so I prefer gender neutral terms. That's just my take on it, though.
Congrats on the fellowship! That's wonderful!
