The Curse is Lifted!
No, we're not going to a bowl game like a lot of folks predicted we would, particularly after our 4-0 start, but we beat Tennessee for the first time since 1982 yesterday. 1982! Before a significant percentage of SG members were born!
It's interesting, because two of the three longest consecutive losing streaks by one division I college football team to another ended this season. Kansas beat Nebraska a few weeks ago, and we snapped our 22-game losing streak against the Vols yesterday. Only the Notre-Dame/Navy game remained in place.
Let's hear it for the boys. Now we need to get Alabama next year, who we haven't beaten since 1984.
I hope that bowl game comes before I'm dead.
