So lately a lot has happened:
I managed to evict the freeloaders and acquire a new roommate; this one is goofy and fun, very upbeat, and a guy. So much cleaner than the last couple that was here! I have taken in the three birds the freeloaders had while living here, which they aren't pleased about... But.. I refuse to allow them a chance to further neglect and abuse animals. A homeless couple shouldn't be carting around 8 animals anyway... Unfortunately, I was not able to take on more bunnies (the super sweet Ferbie bunny is no longer with us) and adding pit bulls to the mix would definitely be too much for me. The original owner of Yoshi, formerly their double yellow headed amazon parrot, reclaimed the bird and gifted it to me so it would have a safe and loving home. :)
So the petting zoo has increased in number, from two bunnies, two birds, and a chameleon I now have two bunnies, my Quaker parrot, my lovebird, the amazon, and two finches (they killed my chameleon while I was out of town working...). It's a bit cramped in my humble abode, but my bestbian has been dubbed 'Master of the Universe' since I have such awful taste in roommates etc... She likes the new roomie, so all is well in the world.
We are actually making a roomie sandwich at the moment, since we discovered the guy has a tempur pedic bed aaaaaaand omg. Lol it's not too hard to convince a dude to open his door and bed to two hot chicks with a common goal in mind... ;) no funny business, just a good ole comfy bed.
This week (today and tomorrow in theory) I should be doing some more shooting with Azera and maybe some paid shoots too. Next week I have two, which I will attempt to share samples of with you!
As far as adventure and work, I had quite an ordeal...
On my way to STL I had a blowout just over halfway there, in no mans' land with no streetlights, no one around... The closest beacon of civilisation was an hourly budget motel, which I steered clear of. I am definitely a bad bad bitch, cuz I managed to get my donut on in spite of a crappy jack, darkness more or less unbroken, and roadside assistance being ages away. Needless to say, I did some digging around STL and obtained two used (but faily new) tires and a new rim. Woot! Suzi Suzuki is running like a champ again.
There is more about STL I'll save for later... Just know it was wild! Until then.. Moar nap timez!
