I am finally over the cold, flu or whatever I had...about two weeks, not bad:...maybe it WAS the flu... The last time I had a real cold, it went on for weeks...Last night was the first night since getting sick that I could sleep for more than an hour at a time..Just too restless..and coughing.

So it was appropriate that we had taste training at the brewery today..This professor comes in, takes beer and purposely taints it with 14 different compounds and we (based upon our knowlege and palate) declare the compound in each. Some are easy and some are very difficult to identify...but it's fun and we have learned to draaaaaaaaaaaaaaag it out into almost an entire morning... I did my usual 75% correct...that's still better than the Master Brewer.....AS long as I can beat him, I'm happy...plus I've been sick dammit!!!

This also means that I will bake tommorow. In my full length apron...just my apron.....Don't worry, I use all the HAACP recommendations for near nude baking......I wrote them...they just haven't been officially adopted yet...I'm trying..

Perhaps I will post as I am baking...an update from the front...

I will also finish another project that had been back burnered due to the unexpected traffic around here from the festivities of last week...
