JOURNAL ENTRY:
So today is starting out as a fun one.
Just got off the phone with a friend of mine and I definately had to do some admitting. See, his wife just moved back to LA recently to get work (she is a designer) while he is finishing up the transition of moving back from Dallas - apartment, cars, etc. (they left a few months ago and it didn't work out). I had taken her out last night since it was St. Patrick's Day and it is a national unofficial drinking day in America, so why not? She is lonely anyway because her friends are stupid irrational coke addicts (but that is another story)... Anyway, she ended up hitting me up in bed last night when we were snuggling and I was a little too plastered for words (really, I was smashed!) so somewhere in the middle of the night I remember hands touching, I reacted in my slumber and apparently got her off. Fine, it is not technically cheating because she has been with me before with her husband there. However, back THEN, he was not only there but I had permission! It was really hard to tell him what happened because it sucks for him that we hooked up a bit and he was not there to see it.
He is okay though. It is not all that bad, but I don't want to be her later when he talks with her. I think it is disrespectful and, honestly, we have avoided it in the past. I like her, she is awesome, but there is that devil's dandruff she is so fond of and my drinking to oblivion doesn't help either of us remain the rational responsable one. I actually remembered the experience on my drive to work this morning and, although I am proud of MYSELF for helping her get hers, I feel really horrible. I love her husband so much as a person and also have the upmost respect for him. I had to call him, you know?
Lesson #2 Class - It is never okay to use the excuse "I was really wasted" or however you descibe being fucked up as an excuse for bad inappropriate manners! I do not care how messed up you are (alcohol or other) you still have mental facalties that keep you in check. Some may disagree, but that goes with Lesson #3...
Lesson #3 Class - There is no such thing as a mistake. Everyone is making a decision based on the available information at the time. Cheating, no mistake. "I didnt know that was the meth pile on the coke tray", really bad mistake but also could have been avoided if you ask!
Obviously I have a lot of anger today because I live my life with no regrets, only the desire to live every moment to the fullest extent, including work hours. So without further adu, I get back to it.
Thank you for reading, Class Dismissed.
